The Jets relieved themselves of a giant salary cap burden Saturday
by releasing defensive lineman Leonard Marshall.

Marshall, 32, signed a three-year, $4.5 million deal after leaving
the Giants as a free agent prior to last season.

He went sackless through the first seven games before trapping
Miami's Scott Mitchell on Nov. 7.
