"Long After You're Gone" touches many hearts.

Jerry Williams, a country singer who wooed fans during the Stars in the Desert Awards banquet in Tuba City, Az., in March, has signed a record contract with Silver City Records of Nashville, Tenn.

Dennis Goodapple, Williams' agent, announced the signing for an undisclosed sum.

Williams single, "Long After You're Gone," will be out in about 45 days and his album will hit the record stores nationally in about three months.
