Eid: A lesson in charity and communal harmony
Millions of Muslims in India will join their brethren across the world this week in celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, widely regarded as a symbol of religious harmony.
The long-awaited climax of a month-long period of prayer and rigorous fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion when people of all ages, backgrounds, faiths and economic status sink their differences in a spontaneous display of brotherhood.
