Mayor Elihu Harris and Mayor-elect Jerry Brown Attend Civic Pride Dinner

On Oct. 29, Mayor Elihu Harris was honored by Civic Pride for his contributions to the city of Oakland. Mayor-elect Jerry Brown continued his support of Civic Pride since coming to Oakland in 1995, by participating in the mayor's tribute. Other honorees included Sandy Alderson, former president of the Oakland A's, Bernie Collins of United Parcel Service, Dr. Allie White-hurst and Janice Lord-Walker of Oakland Public Schools, and Hon. Doddie Gifford, Peralta Community College Board trustee.
