Ispat fires 300 white-collar workers at Indiana plant
Ispat International N.V., owned by Laxmi Mittal, has fired more than 300 white-collar workers at what was Inland Steel Company, acquired by the London-based nonresident Indian (NRI) in July.
Ispat had acquired the Chicago-based Inland, one of America's biggest steel makers, for $1.43 billion.
