ETC: Lecture on re-opened Cambodian temples, NATION

THE next in the Siam Society series of lectures will be delivered by
Ajaan Smitthi Siribhadra on the topic ''Re-opened 7th to 13th Century Temples
in Cambodia''. The talk takes place in the Society's premises on Sukhumvit
Soi 21 tomorrow at 8 pm.
Ajaan Smitthi, a lecturer on Southeast Asian and Indian art at
Silpakorn University and an acknowledged expert on Khmer art and architecture,
will discuss the historical, artistic and cultural significance of key
sites in Cambodia including those at Sambor Prei Kuk, Beng Melea, Chau
Srei Vibol and Banteay Prei.
