KALISPEL CASINO WOULD BE FOURTH LARGEST IN STATE

A proposed tribal casino on the outskirts of Spokane is expected to gross about $28.8 million per year, making it the fourth-largest in the state. The casino, owned by the Kalispel tribe, is expected to open next fall in the suburb of Airway Heights. Documents prepared for the tribe show the casino, to be managed by Carnival Hotels and Casinos, will dwarf the $16.8 million in revenues generated by all existing bingo, pulltab and card rooms in Spokane last year.
