Arab nations slash migrant labor force
Arab nations in the Gulf are slashing their migrant labor force from Asia, mostly from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the Philippines, according to a report released by the United Nations (U.N.).
In its annual survey of economic and social developments in the Middle East, it said the threat of rising unemployment at home was forcing many rich Gulf nations to progressively phase out Third World migrant workers.
