Pat Friauf, Columbia River High School's principal since 1986, is ready to graduate and head off to retirement.
She began her career in 1961at the old Fort Vancouver High Sc hool, teaching speech, drama and English. After a stint at home with her young children, she resumed her career at Lewis Junior High School in 1972. In 1974, Friauf became an assistant principal at Shumway Junior High; Gaiser Junior High principal in 1978; Fort Vancouver High School principal in 1980.
