NET: Tombs says farewell

SYDNEY, May 21 AAP - Sydney Sandpipers centre court sensation, Carissa Tombs finished her
national league career on a high leading the Sandpipers to an 18 goal victory over the Perth
Orioles.

In the other match played tonight, Melbourne Kestrels outclassed Melbourne Phoenix to post
a convincing 74-57 win at melbourne's Waverley centre.

Tombs, determined to make a lasting impression on the home crowd, controlled the game from
the outset, utilising her experience and vision to obliterate the Orioles in the 63-45
slaughter.
