FED: Salute to Flinders, first man to call home Australia

SYDNEY, March 16 AAP - As Australians prepare to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their
political union, they might spare a thought for Matthew Flinders and the 200th anniversary of
their geographical union.

Flinders literally put Australia on the map a century before federation when he
circumnavigated the vast, mysterious south land.
