SOC: Leaders attempt to end World Cup boycott

ZURICH, Switzerland, March 10 AFP - The leaders of world soccer will meet here tomorrow in
a bid to find a solution that would end an Asian threat to boycott the finals of the 2002
World Cup.
The 24-man FIFA executive committee has been given until Friday to find an extra spot for
an Asian team in the next World Cup - or face a boycott that would severly tarnish the sport's
greatest showcase.
