FED: Research proves money can t buy happiness

CANBERRA, Feb 24 AAP - The cliche has proven true - money can't buy happiness.

And it seems married people really are happier than divorcees, if you believe the latest
research from overseas.

The Australia Institute, a left-wing think-tank, seized on research to criticise federal
politicians' preoccupation with economic growth to make the nation happy.

Executive Director Clive Hamilton said studies by US psychologists Tim Kasser and Richard
