Besieged this week by questions about a 10,000-seat arena proposed for
downtown Portland, City Manager Robert B. Ganley relaxed one night by going to
a 20,000-seat arena in downtown Boston.
Ganley was among the mostly middle-aged crowd that filled the Fleet Center on
Monday for the first of two sold-out concerts by the Rolling Stones.
The city manager said the show was excellent, and he had particularly high
