UCLA medical leader Wolcott dies of cancer at age 84

(Daily Bruin) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- For the past 37 years, it has been next to impossible to get Robert B. Wolcott to slow down.

The co-founder of the UCLA School of Dentistry worked on projects with dedication at UCLA.

On March 24, Wolcott succumbed at age 84 to a battle with neck cancer. He had touched the lives of countless students, colleagues said.

The School of Dentistry will hold a memorial service in honor of Wolcott at 9 a.m. Friday at Covel Commons in Sunset Village.
