MIAMI (AP) _ Finding wind where they shouldn't have, the nine yachts racing from Brazil to Florida in the sixth leg of the Whitbread Round-the-World Race should arrive here three or four days early.

The skippers agreed before leaving Brazil that the biggest challenge would be getting past the doldrums _ an area near the equator known for light winds and calm waters.

But there was plenty of wind to fill their sails.

``They ran through the doldrums with wind,'' said Ralph Marrinson, president of Whitbread Race America ...
