BELGRADE, Nov. 11 (IPS) -- The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia
has an idea. Why not join Serbia with Russia, alongside Belarus,
in a union of Slav states -- and thus "destroy the world monopoly
of the United States, its policy of lies, force and crime"?
Ultra-nationalist deputy premier Vojislav Seselj wants to join
Serbia with the existing Union of Belarus and Russia, a loose
customs union with aspirations to a European Union style future.
