Welcome back to ALL THINGS CONSIDERED from NPR News. I'm Guy Raz.
Baseball's regular season was supposed to end today, but the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins had other ideas.
(Soundbite of baseball game)
Unidentified Man #1: The Tigers are still alive.
RAZ: And so are the Twins after both teams won today. That sets up a single game playoff on Tuesday just to get into the real playoffs. The winner will be crowned American League Central Champion.
