This weekend is the third annual New York Anime Festival. Almost 20,000 fans are expected to converge in Midtown Manhattan to celebrate all things related to Japanese animation. Now, lots of Americans became familiar with anime when the Pokmon cartoons became popular. But fans say that anime really is a celebration of Japanese pop culture in all of its forms.
