NATO vote a step worthy of praise; Russia shouldn't be underestimated The Journal Sentinel's May 4 editorial opposition to NATO expansion said: "That would really drive Russia up the wall. . . . And for what? Russia poses no military threat to anyone." That is simply shortsighted. That strategist of Weltpolitik German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck once stated: "Russia is never as strong or as weak as it appears to be."
