RU: Montauban edge Toulon to cap fine week
PARIS, Sept 6 AFP - Montauban defeated big-spending Toulon 21-18 in the Top 14 on Sunday
to cap a memorable week for the south-western club.
Their 40-35 win at Stade Francais on Wednesday was the Parisian side's heaviest home
defeat in nine years and Marc Raynaud's men followed it up with a narrow victory over
a Toulon side that went into the match in second place.
Summer signing Jonny Wilkinson has been the key man for Toulon so far this season,
but the English World Cup-winner was rested for Sunday's trip.
