NT: Brahman a picky bull in love

DARWIN, May 13 AAP - Brahman bulls are choosy when it comes to sex.
It's not enough that the ladies are fit and well groomed; brahman bulls will only mate
with their own kind.
"I found that the main interactions sexually were between the brahman bulls and the
brahman cows," said researcher Cassie Duggan.
A pastoral technical officer with the NT government's Primary Industry Department,
Ms Duggan has been investigating whether certain cattle breeds discriminate when it comes
to the opposite sex.
