Qld: Officer released from hospital after shooting man

BRISBANE, Sept 1 AAP - A police officer injured during an incident in which a man was
shot in the leg in central Queensland overnight has been released from hospital, police
say.

The officer was attacked by a man after she was called to investigate a break-in at
a shop in Musgrave Street, North Rockhampton, about 8.55pm (AEST) yesterday.

During a struggle the officer used her capsicum spray, but then fired her gun several
times, striking the man in the leg, police said.
