In the midst of a host of overseas visitors, the homegrown talents of Tommy Cafri and Rogel Nahum stole the show on the first day of the 62nd national athletics championships at Hadar Yosef yesterday.

Cafri, who set a new record in the 100 meters earlier this year of 10.37, cut a further three-hundredths of a second off his record last night in the heats and repeated the time in the final.
