FED: Govt to work with Islamic communities to stop radicalism

CANBERRA, July 23 AAP - Islamic communities at risk of home-grown extremism will be
offered help by the federal government to tackle radical influences in the community.

"I've tasked my department to work with other relevant agencies to develop strategies
to empower communities to counter extremism," Attorney-General Robert McClelland told
a security conference in Canberra today.

"It is essential that we bolster the prevention aspects of our counter-terrorism ...
