ACT: Chief minister stares down no-confidence motion

CANBERRA, June 25 AAP - ACT Chief Minister Jon Stanhope has survived a no-confidence
motion in the Legislative Assembly over his handling of a proposed $1 billion gas-fired
power plant and data centre.

The Liberal opposition never had the numbers to get the motion up and today failed
to garner the support of either the Green or independent members.

Mr Stanhope labelled the "doomed" no-confidence motion a stunt.
