Fed: Key features of defence budget

CANBERRA, May 13 AAP - Key features of defence budget:

* Defence budget to increase by three per cent a year out to 2017-18

* Defence budget for 2008-09 to reach $22.66 billion.

* Spending in 2011-12 expected to be $6 billion more than 2007-08, rising to $33 billion
