Fed: Clean coal will boost Australia's prosperity - Garnaut

SYDNEY, May 7 AAP - Australia's prosperity will be boosted by clean coal technology,
federal government climate change adviser Professor Ross Garnaut says.

Addressing the NSW Clean Coal Summit in Sydney this morning, Prof Garnaut said the
rising prices for exported coal would boost Australia's economy.

"The increase in export price of coal this year is likely to add about $25 billion
to the value of Australian exports," he said.
