NSW: 73-yr-old man in hospital after assault

Police say they've arrested a 44-year-old man on Sydney's northern beaches .. after
he allegedly bashed and attempted to strangle a 73-year-old man.

As a result of the attack .. the elderly man's been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital
in a serious condition ....
