ACT: Cleaners dish dirt on ACT government over wages, conditions

CANBERRA, April 29 AAP - Canberra government cleaners have rallied in the city centre
demanding fairer wages and conditions - including a minimum four-hour shift.

The industry is calling on the ACT government to clean up its act and introduce changes
it says were promised two years ago.

Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union (LHMU) ACT secretary Lyndal Ryan said cleaners
were working so hard they regularly broke down.
