Committee on Senate Appropriations March 11, 2008 Introduction Chairman
Byrd, Ranking Member Cochran, and members of the Committee, thank you for
this opportunity to appear before you today to discuss important issues
facing the United States` continuing support for the relief and reconstruction
efforts in Iraq. The central issue that I will address is the effectiveness
of U.S. efforts to combat fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption in Iraq.
