The second local "Nun Run" held last October may sound like a road race, but its organizers insist no running shoes were required.

The weekend-long event was an opportunity for women interested in religious life to explore the vocation further, as several women's religious communities in the Portland-Biddeford-Saco area opened their doors to Nun Run participants.
