Karamu House presents the World Premiere production of "A Colored Funeral" by Gregory S. Carr directed by Christopher Johnston. Opening Night is scheduled for Friday, April 13 in the Karamu Performing Arts Arena Theatre.
St. Louis, Missouri's Gregory S. Carr is the creator of "Johnny Taylor is Gone" which had its World Premiere at Karamu in 2005. Carr's production of "A Colored Funeral" was winner of Karamu's R. Joyce Whitley ARENAFEST festival of New Works in 2005 and was featured with a staged reading in The Cleveland Play House's 2006 Fusion ...
