NSW: Scipione backs reforms to rostering, but not second jobs
SYDNEY, Dec 5 AAP - The police force will make its rostering system more flexible but
will not stop officers taking second jobs, NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione says.
A report released by NSW Auditor-General Peter Achterstraat today said the block-rostering
system was inefficient, hindered investigations and should be overhauled.
The controversial 12-hour block rostering system was affecting the performance of the
state's 14,000 frontline officers, the report found.
