Don't give false hope, lawyers told

IPOH: Lawyers have been urged not to give false hope to their clients.

High Court judge Datuk V.T. Singham also warned them against submitting frivolous grounds when presenting their cases.
He said there had been many clients who were told they had a strong case although their lawyers knew it was not true.

"Be professional and honest. If it's a weak case, tell them: `This case is weak, but if you still insist, I will try'. If not, you will burden them," Singham said when admitting ...
