Dear Editor, Sir Bernard Zissman was first elected to the city council in 1962, and was deputy leader of the Conservative Group in 1973, a year before the present Central Library, which he now calls "an insult to the illustrious name of Chamberlain", was opened (Pulling together for the sake of the city, Post Letters, August 7).
I have no doubt that at the time he was as keen as the rest of the council to give Birmingham the very latest ...
