NSW: Clean-up efforts begin as flood waters recede
SYDNEY, June 12 AAP - Reaching residents isolated by flood waters and repairing storm
damage from five days ago will be priorities in the massive clean-up effort after wild
weather hit the NSW coast.
Towns along the Hunter River and suburbs bordering Tuggerah Lakes on the Central Coast
were battered by three days of heavy rains and gale force winds.
Flood waters continue to recede in both areas, where more than 5,000 residents have
returned to their homes to face the destruction.
