Vic: Problem gambling task force to target "vulnerable" athletes

MELBOURNE, May 21 AAP - Too much money and too little to do makes AFL footballers particularly
vulnerable to problem gambling, AFL officials said today.

Launching a new task force to target problem gambling among elite sportspeople, officials
said AFL footballers were more vulnerable to problem gambling than the rest of society.

Essendon Football Club chief executive Peter Jackson said young players needed to be monitored.
