Vic: Brumby begins budget hard sell

MELBOURNE, May 2 AAP - Victorian Treasurer John Brumby will today front business leaders
to sell the virtues of his big-spending seventh state budget, delivered yesterday.

Mr Brumby will attend a luncheon held by The Committee for Economic Development of
Australia (CEDA) at Melbourne's Park Hyatt Hotel to present the budget.

His 2007-08 state budget includes a record $3.3 billion capital works spend and $1.5
billion in initiatives to cut costs for business.
