Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness March 27, 2007 Mr. Chairman and
distinguished members of the Subcommittee, thank you for the opportunity
to speak to you today about the state of readiness in the Army and Air
National Guard. The Army and Air National Guard are engaged with our active
component Army and Air counterparts in combat operations. War is never
