NSW: Alleged drug kingpin dies in Sydney hospital

SYDNEY, Jan 23 AAP - Michael Hurley, the alleged kingpin of an international cocaine
smuggling ring, has died less than a month before his scheduled trial.

The 61-year-old died with family at his bedside in Sydney's Prince of Wales Hospital
about 10.30am (AEDT) today after his life support machine was turned off on Sunday.

Hurley, who suffered terminal cancer, was transferred from Long Bay jail to the hospital
on January 8 after injuring his ribs during a fall ...
