(Independent Florida Alligator) (U-WIRE) GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Though we are rather uncertain about when minus grades will be implemented at UF, their arrival is inevitable. You can see and smell them approaching like new rain. Personally, I think minuses look bad, whether they are more accurate or not. Minus signs have a "negative" connotation. But I'm not here to argue for or against minus grades. I'm going to argue that the entire national grading scale is grotesque and preposterous.

Grades should simply be numbers.
