NSW: Mardi Gras still alive and well, say organisers

SYDNEY, Dec 6 AAP - Some say Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is old and tired,
but organisers are adamant they can provide "the energy and love" that will keep the lustre
on the annual spectacular.

Two months before its 29th anniversary, they say they have the international performances
and a range of events from sport to theatre, and parties to forums, that will again attract
tens of thousands of visitors to Sydney.
