WA: A turtle is the new hurdle for Gorgon

PERTH, June 6 AAP - An endangered, carnivorous turtle is blocking the development of
one of Australia's biggest industrial projects.
Western Australia's Environmental Protection Authority today rejected environmental
approval for the $11 billion Gorgon gas project on Barrow Island, off WA's Pilbara coast,
mainly because of the risk to the rare and threatened Australian flatback turtle.
