Iliad shares soar on launch of WiFi mobile, high-definition TV offering

Shares in Iliad SA soared Thursday after the French telecom company launched a new set-top box, adding high-definition television and unlimited calls over a WiFi-equipped mobile to its previous TV, Internet and fixed-line bundle.
Iliad shares surged almost 16 percent on the announcement but eased back to euro80.40 (US$99.26) in afternoon trading, 12.4 percent above their closing price on Wednesday.
