Deliverance Evangelistic mourns pastor: Church says farewell to Rev. Benjamin Smith Sr.

Over 40 years ago a humble man filled with compassion, integrity and
determination answered yes to a calling placed on his life and in doing so
altered the course of thousands of lives for the better. The Rev. Benjamin
Smith, senior pastor of Deliverance Evangelistic Church left behind a
legacy of love, sound doctrine prayer, perseverance and vision at his death
on March 22. Smith was 87.

"He was a giant among men," said his son-in-law, Dr. Michael Roberts during
Sunday morning worship service.
