Wynton Marsalis Set To Appear At UCD; Acclaimed Jazz Musician/Composer's Quintet Scheduled To Perform At Mondavi Center June 15

Wynton Marsalis, the most celebrated jazz musician of his generation, is no
stranger to UC Davis audiences. The Grammy Award-winning trumpeter has
appeared several times in recent years in touring productions mounted by
Jazz at Lincoln Center. While those concerts have been universally superb,
they have showcased large bands and the repertoire of historic jazz figures
from the past.
This time the focus is squarely on Marsalis and his music, as he makes his
small band debut at the Mondavi Center with the Wynton Marsalis Quintet.
