A 61-year-old Muslim African American cleric was recently arrested by Bronx
cops in what seemed, at first, to be a simple landlord-tenant situation but
developed into inexplicable searches of his homes in Upstate New York and
the South Bronx.

Imam Warith Deen Umar said that he was arrested on January 30 at his South
Bronx residence after a dispute with a prospective tenant, Juan Burgos, 36.
