TRI: Aussie men in open field for triathlon gold

MELBOURNE, AAP - Peter Robertson will return to Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay a three-time
world champion, but his triathlon beginnings were not so glorious.

Robertson first dipped into the triathlon scene in 1992 as a Year 11 student, nearly
drowned during the swim, finished 17th and was "beaten by a girl".
