United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan last week turned to a top-notch
Indian-American business consultant to help the world body press ahead with
reform and improve its management, which has come often under fire.

November 2, Annan named Rajat Kumar Gupta, senior partner worldwide and
former managing director of McKinsey & Company, as his special adviser on
overall strategy. Gupta will work from the UN headquarters in New York.
